This privacy policy explains what personal information Paint Store collects when you use our mobile apps (Android and iOS) and website, how we use it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It is written to meet the information needs of the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, including their data safety / privacy nutrition labels and account-deletion rules.
By creating an account or using the service, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app or website.
Who we are
Paint Store operates an independent paint discovery and directory service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any paint manufacturer. Contact: info@paintstore.in.
Information we collect
- Account details: name, email address and mobile number when you register or update your profile.
- Credentials: your password is stored only as a one-way hash. We never store or send your password in plain text.
- Device and sign-in details: device type/name, app version, platform (Android or iOS), a stable device id for that install, and IP address used when signing in or resetting a password.
- Push notifications: a notification token if you allow notifications (for example via Firebase Cloud Messaging).
- Activity in the app: colours and content you browse or save, and requests you make to the service.
- Support: messages you send us by email or through account-deletion requests.
- Crash and diagnostics (if enabled): technical logs that help us fix bugs. These are not used for advertising.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for third-party advertising. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
How we use it
- To create and secure your account and keep you signed in across devices.
- To show paint brands, colours, room previews, painters and shops.
- To send service messages such as password-reset codes, and notifications you have allowed.
- To prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorised access.
- To improve the app and comply with law and app-store requirements.
Sharing
We share personal information only when needed to run the service:
- Painters or shops you choose to contact — for example when you call or message a listing using details shown in the app.
- Service providers that host our servers, send email, or deliver push notifications, under contracts that limit their use of your data.
- Authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Storage, security and international transfer
Passwords are one-way hashed. Access tokens are short-lived; refresh tokens are stored in your phone’s secure storage (Keystore / Keychain). Data in transit uses HTTPS. Servers may be hosted in India or another region used by our hosting provider; we take steps appropriate to protect your information.
Data retention
- While your account is active, we keep the account and activity data needed to provide the service.
- After you delete your account (see below), we remove or anonymise your personal identifiers so you can no longer be signed in or contacted as that user.
- We may keep limited records where the law requires it (for example tax or dispute records) or for security logs for a limited time.
Your choices and rights
- Update your name, email or phone in the app profile screens.
- Turn notifications off in your phone settings at any time.
- Request access or correction by emailing info@paintstore.in.
- Delete your account as described below.
Deleting your account
If you created a customer account in the mobile app, you can delete it yourself at any time:
- Open the app and go to Profile (or the account menu).
- Choose Delete account.
- Read what will happen, enter your password, and confirm.
When deletion succeeds:
- You are signed out on every device immediately.
- Your name, email, phone and avatar are removed or replaced with anonymous placeholders so the account cannot be used again.
- Saved in-app data tied to your profile is no longer available to you.
- Push tokens and refresh sessions for your account are revoked.

Children
The service is intended for adults (18+) or use with a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Permissions on your device
- Internet — required to load colours, listings and your account.
- Notifications — optional; only if you allow them.
We do not request access to your contacts, photos, microphone or precise location for the core app features described here.
